Sales
Offices
Each
sales office has access to the same data and stock information
because we have developed a voice and data wide area network
covering the whole country. Not only does this mean that
one office can access another offices stock but telephone
calls can be transferred from a busy office to a quieter
one, without the customer incurring any costs.

Drawing
Office
The
Heap & Partners drawing office uses AutoCAD, mechanical
desktop and Ansys Finite Element Analysis software. This
combination of software allows the company to produce everything
from 2D general arrangement drawings through to 3D solid
models of new prototypes that can be fully stress analysed.

Apprentices
Heap
& Partners run a traditional four year apprenticeship.
The courses typically involve a period working in each department
gaining practical skills. A day release scheme to a local
college for academic study, in house theoretical training
and on the job training. When workloads permit, time is
also spent on the apprentices project a Hovercraft, manufactured
from aircraft aluminum, it measures sixteen feet long and
will carry three people, or sleep two people (Separate beds
of course). The Gull Wing doors add an element of style
whilst the power is provided by an old 1300cc VW air cooled
engine that the apprentices have had to overhaul.
