By definition a business must use up resources. We are taking steps to reduce our impact wherever possible and put back far more than we use up.

Terra Carta

Heap & Partners became one of the first SMEs to sign up to the Terra Carta. The Terra Carta has come out of the  sustainable Markets Initiative which in turn was set up by the Prince of Wales. This initiative is driving us to ever better business practices to ensure we do everything in our power to help the Earth recover from mankind’s worst excesses. More information can he found here.

Tree Planting

We are now planting almost 600 trees per month to off set more than double our carbon footprint.

Solar Power

We have installed 88 solar panels at our head office. More will follow, but for now we are generating 20% of our total power needs.

Working Environment

We have spent the last three years investing in our offices to provide a better working environment.

The UK’s first Smart Flower solar panel system

In addition to our solar panels we also installed the UKs first Smart Flower. A beautiful piece of engineering that tracks the sun to keep it at optimum power generation and just like a flower it closes up at night.

Electrical Charge Points

We have also recently added in four charge points for our growing fleet of electric cars.
